In the recent months, a lot of websites are being defaced to promote radical/extremists groups’ propaganda. We’re pretty sure you don’t want this happening to your site! The best way for you to protect your site is to use some form of automated backup.
WordPress users are spoiled for choice with various plugins. On the other hand, you can just let iPage do the backup for you every day, automatically with their automated backup service.
iPage prioritizes security of your website.
What is automated backup software?
First of all, an automated backup is software that automatically backs up your electronic data and computer files. In the event of a system failure or computer crash, an automated backup ensures that your data is kept secure.
How Does It Work?
Backing up your website is simple. First, you need to determine which data needed to be backed up. These data could be anything from images, videos, audio files, documents, email, etc. Afterwards, you need to download and configure these files to be backed up.
Once it is done, it will be automatically backed up.
In the event of a backup failure, a notification will be sent to you via email. If this happens, you need to configure the automated backup software again.
Some examples of automated backup software and applications include Windows Backup, Flickr (for storing images), and X Drive (for storing videos), and Norton 300, just to name a few.
